Buffalo's HSBC ArenaHSBC Arena opened in 1996 as Marine Midland Arena.  It serves as home to the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, as well as the Destroyers of the Arena Football League, indoor soccer's Blizzard and the Bandits indoor lacrosse team. 

The arena is located on the water downtown, and seats 18,595 for most sporting events.  There is a Metro Rail stop nearby, and a 1,100 spot garage attached to the building.  There are several bars and restaurants near HSBC Arena in the Waterfront District.
