Rice University is a small school located a few miles southwest of downtown Houston.  The Owls compete in the Western Athletic Conference in all sports. 

The football team plays at huge Rice Stadium, a 70,000-seat facility.  The stadium was built in 1950 and has an artificial surface.  It served as the home of football's Oilers prior to the building of the Astrodome, and hosted Super Bowl VIII in 1974.

The basketball team plays at Autry Court in Rice Gymnasium, also built in 1950.  The tiny arena seats 5,000 and gets very loud for Rice home games.

Both venues are located on the Rice campus.  Plenty of parking is available nearby.
