Cooper'stown is where Jocks and Rock meet.  The place is always rockin' after games, and there is usually live music.  There are indoor and outdoor bars, a gigantic video wall, and a large collection of sports and Rock N Roll memorabilia.  They usually  have tickets to sell at face value on game days.

HiTops

Scottsdale Bars & Restaurants

Scottsdale is about twenty minutes west of Phoenix, and a few miles north of Tempe.  Scottsdale has a wide variety of establishments; nice restaurants, watering holes, nightclubs, and live music.

Maloney's

Irish

7318 E. Stetson Dr.

Maloney's is a very social bar, with a great atmosphere.  The DJ spins music, and random movie clips are piped through the sound system and onto the 4 big screen TVs throughout the night.

Dos Gringos

Mexican

4209 N. Craftsman Ct.

Dos Gringos prides itself on providing inexpensive food and beverage.  The Scottsdale location has 3 bars, outdoor patios and a rooftop deck with misters to keep you cool.  There is also a location in Tempe.

Cat Eye Lounge

Nightclub

7164 E. Stetson Dr.

This nightclub is a nice throwback to polyester pants.  The drinks are cheap and the crowd is usually bumping, especially later in the night.  The Cat Eye is only open nights, from 8PM to 1AM.

Velvet Room

Jazz

7111 E. Fifth Ave.

The Velvet Room offers fine dining, premium cigars and liquors, and great jazz music. It is a little pricier than most of the bars around, but it has a laid back atmosphere and the best live jazz around.

Sanctuary

Nightclub

7340 E. Shoeman La.

Sanctuary is the biggest, loudest, most crowded nightclub around.  The line will stretch around the corner on weekends, and you will need to dress up to get through the door.  Inside you'll find a huge production with a laser light show, fiber optic ceilings and martini's that the bartender lights with a blowtorch.

Martini Ranch

Martini Ranch has billiards, a big screen TV and, of course, a nice variety of martinis.  There is indoor and outdoor seating, both of which get pretty crowded on the weekends.  Popular local and national bands are featured at the Ranch.

Tempe/Arizona State Bars & Restaurants

hootersgirls.jpg (25276 bytes)What can we say about Hooter's?  They have a lot of TV's to watch the game, plenty of cold beer, lots of bar food to choose from....and above-average waitresses.  The Tempe location is right next to the Owl's Nest.

Dos Gringos Trailerpark Bar & Restaurant

American

216 E. University Dr.

Dos Gringos' trashy trailerpark motif has made this a hot spot.  There are indoor and outdoor seating areas.  They serve inexpensive food and Coronas are always just $2.  There is also a location in Scottsdale.

Macayo's Depot Cantina

Mexican

300 S. Ash St.

Macayo's has a great happy hour nightly, but it gets even better on Fridays when there is a free buffet from 4PM to 10PM.  Order a Mugarita and you get to keep the glass.  Macayo's hosts the area's biggest Cinco de Mayo party.
