Austin is the capital of Texas.  Located 82 miles north of San Antonio, the city is home to over 650,000 residents.  The town is also home to the University of Texas, who's Longhorns play downtown at Memorial Stadium and the Erwin Center.

Austin is a great town, with plenty to do and a great nightlife scene.  There are numerous bars and restaurants in the area, particularly around 6th Street.  6th Street is closed off to traffic on Friday and Saturday night, and is packed with bar hoppers and partygoers.  There are plenty of hotels within easy walking distance.
