mcicenter2.jpg (24959 bytes)The Verizon Center (formerly the MCI Center) is a state-of-the-art arena.  It is located at 601 F Street, right in downtown Washington.  The Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop is the easiest access to the arena.

 
Washington's Verizon CenterThe arena is home to the Washington Wizards and Capitals, and the Georgetown University basketball team.  Built in 1997, the Verizon Center holds 20,674 for Wizards games, and 19,740 for Capitals hockey games.

Parking is available in the Verizon Center garage, and plenty of garages surround the arena.  Parking runs $20-$30.
