Atlanta Motor Speedway is located about 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta.  The speedway was built in 1960 and seats 124,000.  The track is 1.54 miles long in a tri-oval configuration.

The speedway hosts two NASCAR Busch and Nextel Cup races each year.  See our NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch schedules for exact dates.

Coolers may be brought into AMS, but they must be no larger than 14x14x14.  No glass containers are allowed.  There are designated "family" sections in the grandstands; if you're seated there, you cannot bring alcohol.  All other sections allow alcohol.

There is plenty of parking at the speedway, and best of all, its free!  Camping is allowed at a cost of $75-$90.
