Preakness Stakes
The Preakness
Stakes, the second leg of horse racing's Triple Crown,
is held on the third Saturday in May. Grandstand tickets are sold out each
year, so get your tickets in advance; infield tickets are available on
race day. The infield is a huge party; about 50,000 are on the infield,
and beer is encouraged. Most people who go to the Preakness try to come
back every year.

Fells Point Festival
Fells Point Festival is a weekend of partying in the old
Baltimore neighborhood. The festival is held annually on the first
weekend in October. The streets are closed off to handle the huge
crowds, and parking lots are converted to beer gardens. The bars are
open (and crowded) all day and night. Take a cab down, because you'll
never find a parking space.
Baltimore Marathon
The Baltimore Marathon is held each October. The
race begins and ends at Ravens Stadium, with a start time of 8:30 am.
There are plenty of activities around the stadium, and along the route
all day. Check the
Baltimore
Marathon web site for race information and dates.
