Beanpot Hockey Tournament

The Beanpot Hockey Tournament is held the first and second Monday in February at TD Banknorth Garden.  The tournament pits teams from Harvard, Boston U, Boston College, and Northeastern, and the games are always close and intense.

Patriot's Day

Patriot's Day is a statewide holiday celebrating the skirmishes that began the Revolutionary War, including Paul Revere's ride to Concord.  The actual date is April 19, but it is observed on the third Monday in April.

The Boston Marathon is run on Patriot's Day each year, and the Red Sox traditionally play a home game at 11 in the morning.

Boston Harborfest

Not surprisingly, Boston goes all out for July 4th. For almost a week surrounding the Fourth, Boston Harborfest will have over 200 events celebrating the nation’s birthday with historical reenactments, concerts, tours and much more.
