Fenway Park has as much tradition and history as the city that surrounds it.  The atmosphere around the ballpark before a game is enough of a treat for anyone who has never been to Fenway, but once you get inside you realize that you are experiencing a Red Sox game the same way Bostonians have for over 95 years.

Fenway was built in 1912, making it the oldest stadium in baseball, besting Wrigley Field by two years.  The stadium holds only 39,928, but high ticket prices and sellouts allow the Red Sox to consistently outspend all teams except the Yankees.

The bars around Fenway are all packed the afternoon and evenings before games.  If one place is too crowded, you can try any of a number of other bars.

Parking is difficult around Fenway.  There are a few lots within a several blocks of the stadium that cost about $20 on game days.  Your best bet is to use the subway or commuter rail.  See our maps page for maps of these trains.
