Anything you want bar-wise, you can get it on Division Street. With multiple bars and restaurants, its an all around one-stop-shop for a night out on the town.

 

The Original Mother's/Mother's Too

There are locations all over the place but the Original is at 26 West Division.  With great service and a great staff. plus dancing and dining, any Mother's location is a great place to hang out.

 

Bootlegger's

Bootlegger's is almost always packed, and has been known to give away shots for dancing on the bar.

 

She-nannigan's

She-nannigan's serves up good food in a fun atmosphere.

 

House of Beer

House of Beer is a sawdust on the floor type of place, with pool, darts, beer, and great food.  Check out their fishing lure display.

 

 

Lincoln Park Bars & Restaurants

Lincoln Park offers some of the best live music in the city, including some top notch blues bars.  It is located just north of downtown near DePaul University.

 

Gin Mill

One of a chain throughout the nation. Gin Mill offers decent food and good music, and a great atmosphere to get a drink before hitting the rest of the neighborhood.

Goodbar is an excellent place to go to start your evening.  The bar is popular but not overly crowded, with the crowd consisting mostly of young professional types.

Another legendary blues bar. Raunchy and raucous, live music and a pricey cover from time to time. The food is southern & cajun, and the atmosphere is something to behold.

 

 

Wrigleyville Bars & Restaurants

The area around Wrigley Field is known, appropriately, as Wrigleyville.  The area is a haven for Cubs fans, but caters to sports fans of all leagues and teams year-round.

A beer garden, plain and simple.  If the weather's nice and you're up for killing some time before dinner, this is the place for you. No food - not even bar food for snacking - just good beer.

 

Murphy's Bleachers

Murphy's Bleachers ropes off the patio in front of the bar before games.  Its location right across from the outfield wall affords a good view of Wrigley.  If its crowded, there's a bar upstairs as well.

 

The Cubby Bear

The name says it all. The place to be to watch a Cubs game - or any Chicago game for that matter (with one exception being the other MLB team from the South Side). Try the burger or the Wrigley Dog, an authentic-style dog from the Stadium.

The premiere sports bar in Chicago, some say. This is the place to be for any game, and for a myriad of other entertainments. Large dance floor with DJ or live music, upstairs lounge to get away and watch the game. Attractive place with great scenery - if you get our drift.

Best beer in town according to many. There is a beer garden, great food, and a great atmosphere to catch the Cubs game.  A great place to go for the start of a good night out on the town.

A Chicago Sports bar dedicated to the Number One Cub fan, frequented by many of the big names in Chicago sports when the team's are home.  Great food including home-made chips for the bar. All Cubs games are on, as well as other sports. In addition to bar dining, there is a sit-down restaurant, and plenty of Chicago sports memorabilia.

 

Iron Mike's Grille

Iron Mike's is huge restaurant and bar with that serves up Ditka's favorites, particularly steaks and chops.  A fantastic place for dinner or a few quick drinks.

 

Dick's Last Resort

What sets Dick's apart is the attitude; don't go if you aren't ready to be ragged on by your server, and everyone else.  Located on the Navy Pier, Dick's serves up good food, most of which is fried, and has a good beverage selection as well.

 

 

Evanston/Northwestern Bars & Restaurants

If you travel to Evanston, you will find a few bars and restaurants near Northwestern University.

Coaches is always packed on NFL Sundays.  All games are offered on the bars many TV's.

Champaign, like most college towns, offers a lot of bars and restaurants with good specials.

Kam's is the "Home of the Drinking Illini."  There are several beers on tap, with the crowd mostly college-age.  There are also pool tables and dart boards.

 

White Horse Inn

The White Horse Inn is a good place to hang out with friends, particularly if its nice enough to be in the beer garden.  There are drink specials nearly every night, as well as good food specials (2 for 1 burgers, $2 for 1 lb of wings).

 

 

South Bend, IN/Notre Dame Bars & Restaurants

The home of the Fighting Irish, South Bend is also the home to several great bars and restaurants.

 

Coach's Sports Bar

Coach's is a great place for food and drink before or after an Irish home game.  It is located a few blocks west of the stadium.

 

Linebacker Lounge

Linebacker Lounge is located across the street from Notre Dame Stadium.  The bar is loaded with Notre Dame memorabilia, and offers inexpensive food.
