Main Street Bars & Restaurants

Cincinnati's nightlife scene is centered around Main Street, specifically the intersection around Main and 12th Streets.  There are other bars a few blocks off Main as well.  This area is within walking distance of the downtown hotels, although it is not too close to cab it if you so desire.

westminsters.jpg (33775 bytes)Westminster Billiard Club is a fine pool hall with a great beer selection and plenty of top-quality tables and dart boards.  There are a few TV's scattered about to catch a game in between shots.  The club is not open until late afternoon, but stays open all night.

barrelhouse.jpg (23802 bytes)BarrelHouse offers a great variety of microbrews, as well as excellent affordable food.  There are live bands on weekends, and many weeknights as well.  A few blocks off Main, but its a must-visit!  Open all day Tuesday-Saturday, closed on Mondays.

Jefferson Hall is a great place to hear some local Cincy bands.  Happy Hour runs M-F from 4-8 and features $1 off all drinks.

Rhino's

Rhino's is a good place to go to hang out and drink; that's about it.  They are not open until 4pm.

 

 

Downtown Cincinnati Bars & Restaurants

There are several bars and restaurants located around the downtown area.  All are located near most hotels, and close to both Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ballpark, but are scattered about the area.

 

Skyline Chili

Skyline Chili serves up a unique, saucy chili, normally served on spaghetti with cheese (a "3-Way") or on a Coney dog.  There are literally 100 locations around the city; don't miss it!

 

Rock Bottom Brewery

Rock Bottom serves up a good microbrew, and features live music on weekends.  There is a patio open during the summer, and the bar is open all day every day.

 

Izzy's

Izzy's is a fantastic deli located right downtown.  Try the great corned beef, but do not miss the potato pancakes.

 

Montgomery Inn Boathouse

The Montgomery Inn Boathouse, located about a mile east of downtown on the Ohio, serves up unbelievable ribs.  There are plenty of other options on the menu...but the ribs are a must-eat.

 

 

Mt. Adams Bars & Restaurants

Mt. Adams is located east of downtown.  There are plenty of bars in the area worth checking out.

The City View Tavern has great...city views!  They serve up terrific burgers and bratwurst as well.

An upscale bar, frequented by Cincy's local celebrities.  Open late every night of the week.

Crawley's is an Irish bar featuring cheap drinks...and lots of them.

Head to the Blind Lemon for a little live jazz.  Located in the heart of Mt. Adams.

 

 

U of Cincinnati Bars & Restaurants

The University of Cincinnati is located a mile or two north of downtown.  If you're there for a Bearcats game, there are plenty of options for food and beverage near the stadiums.

Sudsy' musical acts are strictly rock and roll.  It's a great place to knock back a few beers and hear some good music.
