CLEVELAND INDIANS BASEBALL TICKETS
Cleveland is home to the NBA's Cavaliers, NFL's Browns, and the baseball Indians. The Tribe and Cavs play downtown, at Jacobs Field and adjacent Quicken Loans Arena. The Browns play on the shores of Lake Erie, at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Cleveland is a friendly town, but be careful if you're sporting an out-of-town jersey or hat at a ballgame. While the vast majority of fans won't give you any trouble, there are some who will pile on the verbal abuse. Overall, Cleveland is about average expense-wise once you're there. Getting there by air is about as cheap as it gets, as both Southwest and Continental have hubs there. Check out JOHNNY ON THE SPOT to see how other sports fans rate Cleveland!! FOOD The waterfront location on Lake Erie is a good spot for decent seafood, but mainly Cleveland's food is about average. There are many first class restaurants in the downtown area, and the Flats have plenty of bars serving up food. Check out the Restaurants and Bars page for the best offerings in town! CLEVELAND ATTRACTIONS
If you don't mind driving a little, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton, 60 miles to the south. Cedar Point, home to some of the world's greatest roller coasters, is 60 miles west. If you want to play the ponies, head for Thistledown, located in North Randall. Check the track website for racing dates. Within Cleveland, there are several shopping areas downtown, and parks along Lake Erie are beautiful in the summer. NIGHTLIFE Cleveland's nightlife is centered right around the stadiums, which makes for an easy trip out after the game. Several bars right downtown around 9th street are always packed after games, and the Flats area is just a short walk away. If you are staying outside of the downtown area, bars are a little scarce. Check the Restaurants and Bars page for more information. TRANSPORTATION If you're staying downtown you really don't need a rental car unless you need it for tailgating. The airport is only about ten miles from downtown, and cabs are easy enough to come by when the bars shut down. If you do rent a car, Cleveland is an easy driving town, and there are many parking garages in the city. WEATHER Cleveland is nice in the summer, but can get very cold in fall and winter. Check the City Weather page for historical temperatures and precipitation. |
