Texas Stadium is located west of downtown Dallas in Irving.  Built in 1971, the stadium holds 65,675.  The Cowboys will move into a new stadium for the 2009 season; the final game at Texas Stadium will be December 20 against the Baltimore Ravens.

With its roof covering all seats, but not the field, Texas Stadium is a dome without being a dome.  The roof and artificial turf tend to detract from the game experience, although all the seats in the stadium offer a great view.

The stadium is home to the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, and has hosted the Big 12 championship game as well.

Tailgating is permitted outside Texas Stadium, and there is also a pre-game party tent outside the stadium.  The stadium offers ample parking.
