Colorado offers limited-stakes casino gambling in three historic towns.  The closest of these to Denver are Central City and Black Hawk (photo, left), located about an hour northwest of the city.  Cripple Creek, located 45 miles west of Colorado Springs, also offers gambling.

"Limited Stakes" means that bets are limited to $5.  Most table minimums are $2.  Blackjack is the main attraction, but there are also plenty of slot machines and video poke machines available. 

Central City offers five or six casinos, while Black Hawk boasts nearly 20.  Cripple Creek features about 15 casinos.  Most casinos have restaurants as well.
