Lower Downtown (LoDo) Bars & Restaurants

LoDo is the area between the Pepsi Center and Coors Field.  The neighborhood features many bars and restaurants clustered together, and is the center of Denver's nightlife scene.

 

Soiled Dove

The Soiled Dove is located nearly adjacent to Coors Field.  It features a rooftop bar and is an excellent place to hang out for some frozen drinks in the summer.

 

Lodo's Bar and Grill

Lodo's is a great place to grab some food and/or drinks before a game at Coors.  It is located one block from the stadium, and features numerous TV's and plenty of beers on tap.

 

My Brother's Bar

My Brother's Bar is a local favorite featuring great burgers.  We at johnnyroadtrip recommend the "Master Johnny" of course!

 

The Keg Steakhouse

The Keg is a new steakhouse with a unique atmosphere.  Patrons might be wearing ties, or they could be wearing football jerseys.  The food is excellent and not overly expensive for the quality you'll get.  There is also a raucous martini bar in front.

 

Denver Chop House

The Denver Chop House is a first-class restaurant that serves up excellent micro brews as well.  Located right across from Coors Field, the restaurant is a favorite of many local athletes.

 

Sports Column

The Sports Column is a huge sports bar with a roof top bar.  The bar offers plenty of beer, and the menu consists of typical (but good) bar food.

 

Wynkoop Brewery

Wynkoop's was one of Denver's first microbrews.  It is a large bar with great beers, great pool, and an upscale atmosphere.

 

Fado Irish Pub

Fado is an upscale Irish pub located next to Coors Field.  The bar features live music and very good food as well.

 

Andrew's Pub

Located just a few blocks from the Pepsi Center, Andrew's features two bars with pool tables and very good happy hour specials.

 

Nallen's Irish Pub

Nallen's is Denver's best Irish Pub.  There is no food (except the Guinness), but Nallen's has very good prices and a great atmosphere.

 

Brooklyn's at the Pepsi Center

Brooklyn's at the Pepsi Center is a large sports bar with plenty of bar food and beer to choose from.  Located directly across from the Pepsi Center.

 

Wazee Supper Club

The Wazee Supper Club is a local favorite offering just about the best pizza in Denver.

 

 

Cherry Creek Bars & Restaurants

Cherry Creek is about five miles southeast of LoDo.

 

Bull & Bush Brewery

The Bull & Bush offers great food and beer at reasonable prices.  There are plenty of TV's to catch a game too.

The Cherry Cricket is a pub that serves up the best burgers in town, at very good prices.

 

Central Denver Bars & Restaurants

The central Denver area offers a mix of restaurants and bars.  The area is located about three miles southeast of LoDo.

 

The Church

The Church is an old cathedral offering three dance floors.  It is very expensive.

 

Governor's Park

Governor's Park is a college-type hangout offering one of Denver's best happy hours.

 

Boulder/U of Colorado Bars & Restaurants

Boulder is home to the University of Colorado.  The town is located 26 miles north of Denver, and offers many excellent restaurants and bars.  The main area of interest is the Pearl Street Mall, and outdoor plaza located downtown.

 

Lazy Dog

The Lazy Dog is a great sports bar with excellent food.  The menu is very extensive and reasonably priced.

 

The Walrus

The Walrus is located in the heart of the Pearl Street Mall.  The beer and food are cheap, which helps explain the college-age crowd.
