The UNLV Rebels basketball team plays its games at the Thomas & Mack Center.  The arena was built in 1983 and seats 18,500.  It is located about a mile east of The Strip, just outside McCarran Airport.

In addition to UNLV games, the arena will host the NBA All-Star Game on February 18, 2007.  That date will mark the first time a non-NBA city has hosted the All-Star Game. 

The national rodeo finals are held at the Thomas & Mack Center each December.

Sam Boyd Stadium, home of the UNLV football team as well as the Las Vegas Bowl, was built in 1971 and seats 40,000.  The stadium is located in Henderson, about seven miles southeast of the Strip.  The stadium was formerly known as the Silver Bowl.

Plenty of parking is available around both Thomas & Mack and Sam Boyd.
