California Speedway in Sonoma hosts races from the NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch, and Truck series, as well as the IRL.  The biggest race is the Labor Day weekend NASCAR Nextel Cup race.

Rose Bowl

The Rose Bowl was traditionally held on New Year's Day, but the advent of the BCS has moved the date around in some years.  The game is played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and matches the champions of the Big Ten and Pacific-10, or two BCS schools.  See our Rose Bowl page for more info on the stadium; see our college bowl schedule for game dates.
