The Rose Bowl is one of the world's most famous stadiums.  Built in 1922 with a capacity of 57,000, the stadium now seats 98,636.  The seating bowl is a single-deck configuration.

The Rose Bowl is most well-known for hosting the bowl game of the same name each year.  The Rose Bowl game traditionally matches the champions from the Big Ten and Pac-10, although the BCS has allowed other teams to participate in recent years.  The stadium has hosted five Super Bowls, the 1994 World Cup, and the 1999 Women's World Cup.  The Rose Bowl is also home to the UCLA football team.

The Rose Bowl is located in Pasadena, about 12 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.  Plenty of parking surrounds the stadium.  Tailgating is permitted in the parking lots.
