Home to the Panthers of the NHL, the BankAtlantic Center was built in 1998 and seats nearly 20,000 fans.  The arena is located in Sunrise, about 25 miles northwest of Miami and about 15 miles west of Ft. Lauderdale.

When you discuss goofy corporate names for arenas, this one has to be in there.  Formerly the National Car Rental Center and Office Depot Center, the arena became the BankAtlantic Center in 2005.

The arena features a patio that is accessible from all levels.  Head outside for a drink between periods if you so desire.

There is plenty of on-site parking around the Arena.
