Miami South Beach Bars & Restaurants

South Beach is located in the southern portion of Miami Beach.  It is right on the ocean, and is loaded with hotels, clubs, and restaurants.  It's definitely the Miami hot spot; the clubs are open until at least 5AM each night.

The Clevelander

Bar/Club

1020 Ocean Dr.

clevelander.jpg (24218 bytes)The Clevelander has multiple bars (including a sports bar), cheap drinks, DJ's, and live music.  This is a place to party, and the food is decent too.  Cheap drinks, and no cover charge; plan to stay late.

Mango's

Bar/Club

900 Ocean Dr.

mangos.jpg (32966 bytes)Mango's has been visited by everyone from Gloria Estefan to Bill Gates.  It is a Latin-style dance club with good food as well.  There is usually a cover charge.

Wet Willie's

Bar/Club

760 Ocean Dr.

wetwillies2.jpg (20770 bytes)Wet Willie's serves up decent food and $7 gets you a 20oz daiquiri.  It has an outside patio on the second floor, and there are people there all day drinking.

Lost Weekend

American

218 Espanola Way

If you want to escape the club atmosphere and expensive drinks of most SoBe nightspots, head for Lost Weekend.  There are a couple of TV's, plenty of pool tables, and cheap drinks.  Lost Weekend is located a few blocks west of Ocean Drive.

Ft. Lauderdale Bars & Restaurants

If you're staying in Ft. Lauderdale, you don't need to travel the 20+ miles to South Beach to find late-night party spots.  There are plenty along the beach in Ft. Lauderdale.

Atlantis Nightclub

Bar/Club

219 S. Atlantic Ave

Atlantis is a huge nightclub with several bars (including an outdoor patio), a DJ, and live music.  There is a cover charge, but the drink prices are reasonable.  It is a club atmosphere, but a lot of the crowd is there just to hang out.  You can also get a $5 massage, which is great at 2 in the morning.

Hooter's

American/Sports

6345 N. Andrews

hootersgirls.jpg (25276 bytes)What can we say about Hooter's?  They have a lot of TV's to watch the game, plenty of cold beer, lots of bar food to choose from....and above-average waitresses.  Located right off Atlantic Avenue in Ft. Lauderdale.

Elbo Room

Bar/Club

241 S. Atlantic Ave

The Elbo Room attracts a college crowd.  The place is usually crowded, but the atmosphere is great.

Kim's Alley Bar

Sports

1920 E. Sunrise Blvd

Kim's Alley bar is a great neighborhood sports bar. There are 3 pool tables, 2 dart boards, a ping-pong table, and lots of tv's showing sports.
