MILWAUKEE BREWERS BASEBALL TICKETS
Milwaukee is home to one of the country's best new baseball stadiums in Miller Park. The retractable-roof stadium has raised interest in the Brewers among locals, and hosted the infamous tie game known as the 2002 All-Star Game. Milwaukee is an inexpensive town that is fairly compact and easy to get around in. You will find the locals to be extremely friendly. Check out JOHNNY ON THE SPOT to see how others rate Milwaukee!! FOOD Milwaukee has all kinds of great food, all of which go very well with beer. There are plenty of influences on the local food, from German and Italian settlers to indigenous Indian traditions. Beer, brats, and cheese can be found all over town. Check out the Restaurants and Bars page for the best offerings in Brew City! MILWAUKEE ATTRACTIONS Miller Brewing Company is the largest brewery in Milwaukee, which puts it up there with the largest in the world. If you want to see 500,000 cases of beer in one place, this is where you go. They offer free tours Monday through Saturday and samples following the tour. The Lakefront Brewery is a smaller operation compared to Miller, but the tours are more educational. Complimentary beer is offered before, during, and after the tours. Tours of the Pabst Mansion are available as well. There are also some good beaches on Lake Michigan. Just north of downtown, McKinley Marina Park is located on North Lincoln Memorial Drive on the lake. NIGHTLIFE The Milwaukee bar scene is centered around the downtown area. There are several bars around Miller Park as well, and there is an area known as Riverwest just to the north that is worth checking out. Check the Restaurants and Bars page for more info. TRANSPORTATION Milwaukee is a fairly compact city, and most of the attractions are downtown. If you need to go beyond walking distance of your hotel, a rental car is your best bet for getting around. Alternatively, use Milwaukee's bus or trolley system to get where you need to go. WEATHER Milwaukee is very cold in winter; dress appropriately if you'll be outside. In summer, the average high reaches 80, with temperatures reaching the 90's occasionally. Check the City Weather page for historical temperatures and precipitation. |
