MINNEAPOLIS TAILGATING |

|||
While there is something a little strange about tailgating at domed stadiums, tailgating in Minnesota is still excellent. Tailgating for Vikings games occurs no matter how cold it gets. Vikings fans take both their football and their tailgating seriously. The main tailgating lots are the Washington Avenue lots just north of the Metrodome. The lots open four hours prior to kickoff. For Twins games, you can buy beer from street vendors before games. There aren't any bars in the immediate area. The Target Center is located in the Warehouse District, which is loaded with bars and restaurants. There is plenty to do before and after games at the arena. The Xcel Energy Center is located in downtown St. Paul, with many bars within walking distance. If you're heading to a Minnesota hockey or basketball game, there are plenty of bars around campus.
