NASHVILLE CONCERT TOUR SCHEDULE
Nashville is about average expense-wise, although you pay to park everywhere downtown. Gaylord Entertainment Center, home of the Predators, is in the heart of downtown, while the Titans' Coliseum is right across the Cumberland River. The fans in Nashville are very hospitable to visiting fans. Generally, you should not expect to get hassled for wearing an out-of-town jersey, although as in every town there are some jerks who might take offense. Check out JOHNNY ON THE SPOT to see how other sports fans rate Nashville!! FOOD Nashville has a wide variety of restaurants that offer just about anything you could want. Second Avenue alone represents just about every type of cuisine there is. Check our Restaurants and Bars page for more info. NASHVILLE ATTRACTIONS
The Parthenon, a full-scale replica of the ancient Greek building (or club, if you ask Shaq), is located in Centennial Park. The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame is located in the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Or, just stroll up and down Second Avenue; there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. NIGHTLIFE Nashville's nightlife scene is centered around Downtown and Second Avenue. Just about every type of bar imaginable can be found in that area; from sports bars to breweries, Irish bars to country bars. If you can't have a good time on Second Avenue, you have serious problems. Check the Restaurants and Bars page for more info. TRANSPORTATION You really don't need a car in Nashville except for tailgating; you will pay to park in town, and you can walk or take a cheap cab ride anywhere you need to go. You can even walk to Adelphia Coliseum from downtown, although it is about a mile over the Cumberland River. If you do rent a car, you are better off cabbing it to Second Avenue at night; parking is $5 and up, depending on the lot. WeatherNashville has a moderate climate; it does get fairly hot in summer, and cold in late fall and winter. Snow is rare but it does occur. Check the City Weather page for historical temperatures and precipitation. |
