Tailgating is very good for Titans' games at the Coliseum.  All of the lots on stadium grounds are permit-only, but there is parking on lots nearby; the best is the Ramada across the street.  Parking in the nearby lots is about $20-$25.

If you don't want to fire up the grill, you can head for the bars on Second Avenue and walk over the bridge to the Coliseum before the game.

For Vanderbilt football, tailgating lots open four hours prior to game time.  Plenty of lots surround Vanderbilt Stadium, and are priced at $10 per game.
