The Tennessee Volunteers compete in the SEC in all sports.  The football team plays its home games at Neyland Stadium, a 104,079-seat colossus that ranks as the third-largest college stadium in the nation.

Neyland was built in 1921, and has undergone several expansions over the years.  The stadium held the crown as the largest stadium in America after one recent expansion, until Michigan added more seats to Michigan Stadium to recapture the honor.

The Vols basketball teams play at Thompson-Boling Arena, which happens to be the second-largest college basketball venue in the country.  The arena seats 24,535 and opened in 1987.

Both venues are located on campus on the Tennessee River, a few blocks south of downtown Knoxville.  Parking surrounds both stadiums, although all football parking spots are sold out on a season basis.  If you don't have a parking pass, there are tailgating lots on Cumberland Avenue (The Strip), a short walk from the stadium.

The Volunteer Navy, an armada of tailgating boats, can be found on the Tennessee River before Vol football games.
