NEW YORK HORSE RACING MAP

New York is loaded with race tracks, both thoroughbred and harness.  The main race in New York is June's Belmont Stakes, the third and final leg of the Triple Crown.

Below are the city's tracks, with approximate racing dates...

Thoroughbred Racing

Aqueduct - Located in Ozone Park in the borough of Queens, Aqueduct features live racing from October through May.

Belmont Park - Located in Elmont, NY, just a few blocks from the Queens border, near Aqueduct.  Belmont features live racing from May through July and September/October each year, and hosts the Belmont Stakes in June.

Meadowlands - Located in East Rutherford's Meadowlands Sports Complex, the Meadowlands has live thoroughbred racing from early September through early November.  The track also features harness racing from late December through August.

Monmouth Park - Located 50 miles south of New York City in Oceanport, NJ.  Monmouth features live racing from late May through early September.

Harness Racing

Meadowlands - Located in East Rutherford's Meadowlands Sports Complex, the Meadowlands has live harness racing from late December through August.  The track also features thoroughbred racing from early September through early November.

Yonkers Raceway - Located in Yonkers just north of the Bronx, Yonkers Raceway features live racing all year.
