The Florida Citrus Bowl was built in 1936 as a 10,000 seat stadium.  Today, the stadium seats 65,438 (with temporary seats pushing capacity over 70,000) and hosts one of college football's biggest bowl games.

The Florida Citrus Bowl was originally know as Orlando Stadium and cost just over $100,000 to build.  It has gone through several name changes and has been officially known as the "Florida Citrus Bowl" since 1983.

The stadium is home to the Central Florida Golden Knights during the college football season.  It also hosts the Tangerine Bowl, matching teams from the ACC and Big 12, and the Capital One Bowl, matching teams from the Big 10 and SEC.

Parking surrounds the stadium.  The stadium is less than two miles from Orlando's Orange Avenue bars, and many hotels are close by as well.
