Downtown Orlando Bars/Orange Avenue Bars

The hub of Orlando's nightlife scene is Orange Avenue.  While many bars in Orlando are of the club variety, you can find bars and restaurants of all types in the downtown area.  These bars are a short walk from the TD Waterhouse Center, and there are many hotels near Orange Avenue as well.

 

One-Eyed Jack's

One-Eyed Jack's is a great bar that is actually connected to two other bars, the Loaded Hog and the Wall Street Cantina.  Jacks is a great place to hang out if you're not looking for a club atmosphere.

 

Bar Orlando

Bar Orlando is a dance club catering to the college crowd and anyone else ready to drink and dance.  There are four bars scattered throughout the club, and the music is loud and varies from rock to hip-hop.

 

Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub

Scruffy Murphy's is a small Irish pub featuring live music most nights.  The bar is always crowded and has a great atmosphere if you're not looking for a club.

 

Red Velvet

Red Velvet is one of Orlando's hottest clubs, and is always packed on weekends.  There is usually a cover charge, although if you're there early enough you may be able to avoid it.

Wall Street Cantina

The Wall Street Cantina serves up great Tex-Mex southwestern food, and offers plenty to drink as well.  It is connected to One-Eyed Jack's, and has a patio for outdoor seating.

Kate O'Brien's is a great Irish Pub with outdoor seating and live entertainment.

Bar-be-que Bar

The Bar-be-que Bar is a great alternative to the Orange Avenue club scene.  If you're just looking to have a few drinks, this could be the place for you.

The Loaded Hog is part of the One-Eyed Jack's bar trio, along with the Wall Street Cantina.  The Hog is a small bar, but boasts a wide array of very interesting shots.

Downtown Disney is a basically a huge outdoor mall, complete with movie theatres and shops.  There are also many nightlife offerings at Downtown Disney, and there are several on Disney's Boardwalk as well.
