Temple plays its basketball games at the new Liacouras Center on campus, several miles north of downtown.  The arena was built in the late 1990's, and is typically packed for Owls games.  It seats 10,224.

Football is played at new Lincoln Financial Field, eight miles south of Center City.  See the Lincoln Financial Field page for more info.

There is not much in the way of bars around either venue.
