Auto Racing

Phoenix International Raceway hosts a NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch, and Truck race each November.  The Cup race is the second-to-last on the NASCAR schedule, so you might see the crowning of a points champion.

The track also hosts an IRL race each March.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

The Fiesta Bowl is part of the Bowl Championship Series.  It is held at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe each January.

Phoenix Open

The PGA comes to TPC Scottsdale in January with the Phoenix Open.

Spring Training

The Phoenix area hosts several major league teams during spring training each February and March.

Insight.Com Bowl

Started in 1989 as the Copper Bowl, Phoenix has been the home of the Insight.com Bowl since 1997.  Chase Field became the home of the game in 2001.
