Qualcomm Stadium was built in 1967.  The stadium is home to the Chargers and Padres, as well as San Diego State football.  It also hosts the Holiday Bowl each December, and has hosted several Super Bowls as well.

Qualcomm holds 71,000 for football and 66,307 for baseball.  The stadium is located about five miles north of downtown San Diego.

The Padres will be moving to PETCO Park in the Gaslamp Quarter.  The new stadium will open for the 2004 season.

Qualcomm is surrounded by a huge parking lot, and tailgating is permitted and encouraged.  Lots open at 6am for 1:00 Chargers games, and four hours prior to night games.
