Columbia, Missouri is home to the University of Missouri. The
town is located in the center of the state of Missouri, 124 miles west
of St. Louis and 125 miles east of
Kansas City. With a
population of just under 80,000 and almost no unemployment, Columbia is
a thriving college town and is annually ranked one America's best places
to live.

In addition to the U of Missouri, Columbia is also home to the
Mid-Missouri
Mavericks baseball team of the Frontier League.
Columbia has several hotels, most of which are clustered around I-70.
The closest ones to the stadiums are about four miles northeast.
