St. Louis might be one of the most underrated cities in America. Most of the negative comments stem from those who have only experienced the downtown area. Like Chicago, St. Louis is a city of neighborhoods. For dining, you can't do better than the Hill neighborhood. It rivals New York City for best Little Italy and Italian food center in America. The Central West End and the University City Loop are two great night life / cafe areas. The St. Louis Art Musuem is a first class art museum, and free to boot. Also check out the world class Botanical Gardens, the St. Louis Zoo, the Science Center, Forrest Park and its Municipal Opera Theatre (during the summer), or take in a broadway show at the Fox. Downtown isn't the hottest spot, but it's definately on the upswing with Ballpark Village under construction and, having been a strict business district for decades, an emerging loft population. Go St Louis!

Cardinals world champs which is nice but it still doesn't do anything to make this toilet of a city any better. It looks like a giant ghetto. East St. Louis is a big ghetto we saw parts of it from the highway but wouldn't dare even go down there besides theres nothing to do there anyways. Outside of the sports there is absolutely nothing to do in this city and like I said it's a big ghetto.

Well I spent a weekend in St. Louis and got just about what I expected. It's very dirty and run down ..like a northeast great lakes city but with less to do. It's good for a sports game I supose but other than that there ain't much to it. The arch is kinda cool but it's still just an arch.
