Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:

• 2 tubes spicy sausage

• 4 tablespoons flour

• 4 cups milk

• Black pepper, crushed red pepper, sage

• Biscuits

Steps:

• Fry sausage in a large frying pan, mashing with a potato masher until browned

• Season with pepper, crushed red pepper, and sage

• Remove meat, but leave 4 tablespoons of the drippings from the sausage in the pan

• Turn heat to high, and gradually add the flour, stirring constantly until smooth

• Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until thick and creamy

• Pour the sausage back into the sauce, lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes

• For tailgating, I recommend pouring into a crock pot at this point

• Serve over biscuits (warm the biscuits in tinfoil on the grill if necessary)
