FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

Extra Thick French Toast

This makes very big, very filling French Toast.  This is a great and easy item for a breakfast tailgate.

Ingredients:

• 1 loaf of un-sliced bread
• 12 eggs
• 2 cups milk
• Blueberries (topping)
• Syrup (topping)

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Mix eggs and milk in a bowl large enough to handle the piece of bread.
• Cut the bread into one-inch thick slices
• Dip the bread in the eggs/milk on both sides until thoroughly soaked.
• Butter a pan on medium heat.
• Place the slice of bread in the pan on medium heat.
• Cook until slightly brown on both sides. Flipping frequently.
• When browned, place on a cookie sheet or tin foil and place in the oven for 8 minutes.
• Remove and serve with blueberries (or other topping) and syrup.
• For tailgating, let cool, then wrap in foil. If you wrap them while hot, they may get soggy before you get to re-heat them. Re-heat on the grill until hot.
